Crista joined Keith Law Office in 2018 and focuses her practice on contract drafting and transactional corporate matters. Crista began her career working in the area of general civil litigation, where she learned that many of the disputes parties litigate in court stem from poorly drafted contract language or “boilerplate” forms that don’t exactly fit the needs of the client. Having always believed in a philosophy of prevention over remediation, Crista finds value in drafting contracts and other documents that clearly and precisely spell out the agreements between the parties so as to avoid future disputes, confusion, and litigation. She has experience in the areas of corporate formation, company mergers, corporate dissolution, shareholder disputes, employment agreements, service agreements, and other day-to-day concerns of small businesses.
Crista graduated from the University of Notre Dame Law School in 2012 (J.D., cum laude) where she held the title of Executive Article Editor for the Notre Dame Journal of Law, Ethics & Public Policy. She is a graduate of the University of Kentucky with an undergraduate degree in chemistry. Prior to joining Keith Law Office, Crista practiced at a mid-size law firm in St. Louis, Missouri, as well as at a small law firm in downtown Lexington.
Crista is a member of the Kentucky, Missouri, and Fayette County Bar Associations. She resides in Lexington with her husband and children and is a parishioner at the Cathedral of Christ the King. She is a former AmeriCorps volunteer, having completed a year of service as an environmental educator throughout Central Kentucky.
