Cristina opened Keith Law Office in 2015 and focuses her practice on serving as outside general counsel to small and mid-sized entities. Her practice encompasses servicing the legal needs of her clients from all aspects of transactional corporate matters to all phases of business litigation. Cristina began her career working in the area of insurance defense and business litigation for Fortune 500 companies at one of New York’s largest, and most prestigious, law firms. Desiring more client contact and greater courtroom experience, Cristina then worked for a mid-sized firm in Los Angeles, California litigating business disputes in state and federal court for more than 10 years before returning home to Kentucky.
Cristina’s practice in Kentucky started with the idea that she could bring to bear the experience gained litigating corporate disputes to help her clients to establish best practices, whether related to formation, governance, contracts or employment to avoid costly and unpredictable litigation. But not all disputes can be avoided, so with her litigation experience, she could litigate disputes more efficiently with intimate knowledge of her clients’ businesses. In addition to successfully litigating cases against some of the largest firms in Kentucky, Cristina locates, vets and retains lawyers in other disciplines and other jurisdictions when her clients require representation in other specialties. Cristina has also managed litigation taking place outside of the United States.
Cristina graduated cum laude from the University of Kentucky with an undergraduate degree in history and economics. Cristina graduated from Vanderbilt Law School in 2002 where she also earned a certificate in law and business, a precursor program to the joint J.D./M.B.A. programs that exists at Vanderbilt today. Prior to starting her own practice, Cristina worked at an international law firm in New York and Los Angles and a mid-sized firm in Los Angeles prior to returning to Kentucky.
Cristina is admitted to practice in New York, California, and Kentucky. She is admitted to practice in the Eastern and Western Districts of the State of Kentucky and the United States Tax Court. She resides in Lexington with her children and her two Standard Schnauzers. Cristina is a member of Maxwell Street Presbyterian Church and is a member of the Board of Directors for Prevent Child Abuse Kentucky and a member of the Board of Lansdowne Neighborhood Association in Lexington, Kentucky.
